- Seek professional help from a person experienced in treating depression
- Try to eat balanced and nutritious meals
- Ask for help
- Try to get at least eight hours of sleep
- Keep a journal
- Talk with friends that you believe you can trust and who you think will be supportive of you
- Join a support group
- Draw, paint, write poetry, listen to music , take walks outside in the daytime
- If your family, friends, and significant others are supportive of your recovery please involve them in your therapy program
- Remember that you deserve pleasure and happiness just as much as anyone else.
