Healthy Weight

What is a healthy weight? generally speaking, you want to maintain a weight that falls within the ‘healthy weight range’ according to the BMI index. It is important to remember that your goal weight should be a realistic weight that you can maintain while you are living a healthy lifestyle.

Your correct weight is a weight that can be maintained without:

  • Restricting food intake
  • Over-exercising
  • Being preoccupied with thoughts of food due to deprivation
  • Feeling the negative affects of starvation or semi starvation such as fatigue, irritability, loss of concentration, and a depressed mood

Also, it is important to remember that everyone’s weight tends to fluctuate within a day so it is not necessary to become fixated on a certain number.
